FADED PALE AND HOLLOW
From the day that I was born,....
I knew this day would come…..
My heart would surely soon be torn. ....
Goodnight beloved one…..
....
And what will come next now. ....
My heart is so unsure…..
Each day, I weep a river. ....
Each night I wash ashore…..
....
What will now become of me….
What will come tomorrow….
The world I knew, that used to be….
Has faded pale and hollow….
....
The one I loved, who loved me most….
The one that I lived for….
Has left my world a faded ghost ....
And so, I am no more….
....
The colours are so pale and dull….
The lights have lost their glow….
The sky, the sea, the land and all….
World I no longer know ....
....
Maybe one day, I’ll see again….
For now, I am just blind….
Maybe one day, won’t be so dim….
And life will be more kind….
